Dear Club Coach, 

With the change to Summer Football brings a change to the annual Winter Festivals at Lucozade Powerleague Kilmarnock.  Our regular festival event will now be moving dates from early January to mid February.  The Festival promises to provide local clubs with the opportunity to play teams from different associations and will allow coaches to cast their eye over new players before the new season gets under way in March.  Hopefully the weather may be a little kinder too!

Entered teams will be placed into groups of 5 or 6 teams.  Each team will play each opponent once.  Game times will be dependant on the number of teams per group but most matches will be 12-15 minutes in length with all teams guaranteed at least 1 hour of game time.  Games will be fully supervised bySFAqualified coaches/referees provided by Lucozade Powerleague.

The 2003’s and 2002’s have the option of kicking off at either10amor2pm.  In doing so, this allows more ‘spare’ pitches to be free at each session for the kids to practice/warm-up.  The 2001’s and 2000’s will kick off at2.30pmas pitches are not available for a morning session.  All matches will be 5-a-side except the 2003’s who will play 6-a-side matches on a 5-a-side pitch. 

All players will receive a participation medal following the conclusion of the event and each team will be given a free pitch hire voucher, which can be used any Saturday and Sunday until December 2012 (worth £32.45). Team entry for the festivals is frozen for the third year at £28.50 per team or £50 for 2 teams.  Places are limited so entries will be taken on a first come first serve basis. 

Closing date for entries will be 48 hours before each scheduled age groups kick off.  Entries received after this cut off time will not be accepted.  Please note payment is required at least 48 hours before the event.  This is to avoid teams not showing up on the day and creating a delay due to having to rearrange fixtures at the last minute.
